What is your process?

First up, we offer a free adventure elopement consultation.  In this first meeting we get to know you and get a feel for the type of elopement you are after.  Off the back of this catch up we will either custom create an elopement package to suit your budget and requirements, or if you have chosen a package we will personalise it to make sure it is perfect for you.  Once you are happy with your elopement itinerary, we will send you an agreement.

What are your payment terms?

We require a 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your date.  The balance is due 4 weeks before your elopement.  If you are booking less than 4 weeks before your wedding full payment will be required at the time of confirmation.

 

How much does it cost?

We have put some indicative costs on our package options.  However, every adventure elopement varies from couple to couple meaning the pricing is slightly different for everyone depending on your specific requests.  To give you an indication our packages start from as low as $3,000.  

Do you offer pre-planned packages?

Sure do!  We have put together some packages to give you inspiration for your elopement.  You can either choose a package as it is, or we can use it as a starting point and work together to personalise it for you.  

How far in advance do we need to book?

To ensure the availability of the best suppliers for your elopement we suggest booking as far in advance as possible.  However, in New Zealand it does only takes 3 working days to obtain a marriage licence so this would be the minimum time required.

What are the legal requirements to get married in New Zealand?

Great news, it is super easy! You need to get a marriage licence, say a few legal lines in front of a registered celebrant and two witnesses then sign the paperwork.  You can read all about the process here.

Can you help us organise the two legal witnesses?

Absolutely!  Your adventure crew will be more than happy to be your legal witnesses.   

 

Can we bring some friends with us? 

Of course.  However, we do recommend keeping the number of guests below ten to ensure that the day stays 100% about you and your wedding adventure.  

Will our marriage be recognised in our country?

We will help you obtain a legal marriage certificate with the New Zealand government seal on it, so you can then have your marriage recognised in your country. 

 

What happens if it rains?

It is important to remember that with any outdoor adventure there has to be an element of flexibility as nature and weather are two things out of our control. We will always do our best to go ahead with the planned adventure, however your safety is our first priority and if it is deemed unsafe for us to go ahead we will look to reschedule your adventure to an agreed time later in the day or the week. If rescheduling is not realistic due to your travel plans, or you have your heart set on a particular date, we will kick our pre-planned adventure B or C options in to play. These would have been developed as part of your initial proposal to ensure that no matter the weather you have an epic elopement. 

How many days before our wedding day do we need to be in New Zealand?

We recommend arriving at least 2 days before your wedding adventure so you can get over any potential jet lag, and relax before your big day.  It will also allow us time to meet face to face so we can talk through your epic wedding adventure.  

Do we need insurance?

Whenever you plan to travel it is important to always take out a good insurance policy.  A lot of insurance companies will require you to pay a small additional premium if you are planning to par-take in adventure sports or if you are travelling to high altitudes.  With this in mind, it is a good idea to run your wedding adventure itinerary past your insurance company to ensure you are covered for any of the activities that are in your wedding itinerary, 

What do we need to pack for our elopement?

As part of your wedding adventure plan you will receive a packing list for your adventure.  If you want to wear a wedding dress or suit on your big day, that is no problem at all.  Our crew will have a pop up changing tent available if you want to change before the ceremony.  If you want to stay in sneakers, hiking boots or sports attire that is totally fine too. 

Can you organise extras for us?

We sure can!  If you would like hair and make up, a dinner reservation, accommodation or anything else for that matter just let us know during your consult and we will work it in to your package.  

 

Can we get married on our pre-planned adventure?

Absolutely!  If you have already planned an adventure in New Zealand, but love the idea of getting married at the same time, just let us know the details and we will work out the logistics to get a celebrant and a photographer/videographer to you.
